Join your expert local guide for a tour of this splendid city and get to see it’s most famous sights. Drive along the elegant Passeig de Gracia where you will see the famous Gaudi designed houses of Casa Battlo and Casa Mila (also known as La Pedrera) as well as other Modernism architecture. Continue along the busy Avinguda de la Diagonal, one of the city’s premier shopping streets. You’ll soon see the soaring spires of the Sagrada Familia cathedral, Gaudi’s world famous unfinished masterpiece. Continue to another of Gaudi’s delights, the Parc Guell featuring some of the architect’s fascinating landscaped architecture, as well as the house in which he lived for a time. See the exterior of the Camp Nou stadium, home to world famous Barcelona FC, the bustling commercial district around Sants and the Plaça de Espanya before a climbing up the winding road of Montjuic Hill past the the Olympic Stadium and stopping at the Mirador for fabulous panoramic views across the whole city. Descend to the the impressive Columbus Monument and around the city’s splendid waterfront to see the the Port Vell, the old fishermen’s quarter of Barceloneta and a great area for a spot of lunch. Continue along Barcelona’s beach front to the Olympic Marina and fashionable Poble Nou, then past the huge Glories shopping centre and the Arc de Triomf to the Ciutadella Parc. The day’s sightseeing ends with a guided walking tour through the Parc, Barri Gotic and historic old town, including the Gothic Cathedral of La Seu, ending on La Rambla, the city’s most famous street.
