Be a Gladiator in Rome

Enjoy a genuine historical and cultural experience in the company of real experts.  The organisers of the Gladiator School include a scientific committee of professors from the History and Philosophy departments of Rome University and from the government’s Department of Cultural Heritage  to verify the authenticity of costumes and re-enactments. So the training in attack and defence techniques that you will receive from leading gladiator performers is based on the realities of gladiator life in Ancient Rome itself.  In your action packed lesson you’ll be kitted out in a historically accurate gladiator’s tunic and hodl a “rudis” – a wooden sword just like those used by all gladiators in their training sessions 2000 years ago!  If you make the grade you will receive your “Declaration of Roman Citizenship”.  You will also visit the Gladiator Museum with its awe inspiring display of ancient weaponry and armour from the real Roman legions.
