Mobile Homes and Self-Catering Accommodation

Go West can offer very low cost mobile home and self-catering accommodation in the UK and Ireland.

Mobile homes  - also known as static caravans or 'units' -  are self-contained units that offer low cost accommodation with excellent amenities on site. Units are available with two or three bedrooms and can sleep up to eight persons. Most of our accommodation in England and Scotland is located on the coast near London and Edinburgh, so ideally placed for excursions into these two fascinating capitals and beyond.

In Ireland our accommodation is mainly on the south-east and south-west coast, amidst fabulous scenery and close to some of the main historic sights and towns. Here our accommodation is chalet-style, like small cottages.

In the Mobile Homes, Go West recommends accommodating four people in a two-bed roomed unit and six people in a three-bed roomed unit. If children are travelling with a group, then they can be accommodated on a foldout sofa bed in the lounge room. Mobile Homes are often given 'star ratings' based on age of unit and size. Generally speaking, 4-star two-room units consist of a room with one double bed and a room with twin beds.

To accommodate six people, we recommend three-bedroom units, where the third room normally has two bunk beds. The 3-star two-room units consist of a room with double bed and a room with two bunk beds: to accommodate six people, use three-bedroom units with one double bed and two rooms with bunk beds.

The mobile homes are equipped with bathroom with shower, basin and toilet, kitchen and lounge with colour TV. In the kitchen a fridge, cooking and eating utensils are provided. Constant hot water, gas and electricity at no extra charge are included. Pillows and duvets are provided, and bed linen can be hired from us in advance. Facilities vary at different sites, but many have excellent sports and entertainment facilities, including swimming, tennis, even golf, and shows in the evenings. Bars, games rooms, a shop and restaurants are also normally on site.
Mobile Homes are not suitable for 'children only' groups, and there must be an adult (over 21 years) in each unit. But for family or adult groups they are ideal and provide an excellent, low-cost base for touring or simply relaxing.
