BE A SCOTTISH HIGHLANDER
A once in a lifetime experience as you live the spectacular life of a Scottish Highlander amongst the magnificent scenery of Scotland.
Arrive in Edinburgh, a panoramic sightseeing tour of Scotland's capital city, including the famous sights of the medieval route Royal Mile - Palace of Holyrood House, St. Giles Cathedral and Edinburgh Castle. Then drive north for accommodation in a first class hotel. Enjoy an evening ceilidh style dinner with Scottish music and dancing with the opportunity to learn Scottish dances. Overnight Crieff/Central Scotland area.
A sporting day with a variety of typical Scottish games. First the Highland Games - the traditional contest between different clans. It includes running, cycling, light field, heavy and track events. Depending on the season you can take part in an official Highland Games as a separate 'clan'. In the afternoon everyone can enjoy pre-selected activities such as horse riding, clay pigeon shooting, falconry, fishing, golf or off-road driving, or just relax at the hotel swimming pool and spa. Dinner - with special awards for the winners - and overnight in the hotel.
After breakfast a visit to the oldest whisky distillery - Glenturret - to reveal the secret of producing single malt whisky, and of course some tasting. Next travel west through the Trossachs, the mystic land of Rob Roy and William Wallace 'Braveheart', to picturesque Loch Lomond. Travel south along the Loch with a possible one hour cruise. Return to the hotel. Then travel to Stirling for a private visit of one of the grandest Scottish castles, Stirling Castle, famous for its setting on volcanic rock and historical importance. After a castle tour there is a Medieval Feast in the castle and entertainment from pipers and jesters. Return to hotel for overnight.
After breakfast free time, possibly in Edinburgh, for shopping or sightseeing before departure
