City & Town Councils / Know-How
Programmes
Go West has teamed up with the city of Leeds and the town of Rugby to arrange 'know-how' visits, seminars and discussions - to give an insight into how political, economic and social life works in both places.
Suitable for councillors, politicians and professionals from new EU member states and rapidly developing economies (e.g Brazil, China), programmes can be tailored to the specific requirements of the delegation. Some recent examples include:
- Social and health care services
- Housing projects
- Town and city planning
- Road and transport networks
- Environmental improvements

- Leisure amenities and green spaces
- Social inclusion and community cohesion
